ABOUT THE BOOK
Pathways to Prosperity: The Journey of the Aspirational Districts Programme presents a powerful account of how India’s most underdeveloped regions were transformed into engines of growth through focused governance and targeted interventions.
Launched under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the programme is explored through a 360-degree lens of policy execution across key pillars, health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, financial inclusion, and skill development showing how data-driven strategies led to measurable, lasting change. The book also critically examines earlier efforts like the Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) and highlights the transformation achieved in regions once affected by Left-Wing Extremism. Drawing from success stories across the country, it captures the spirit of a governance model that turned aspiration into achievement.
